It ain't Christmas till Love makes her annual appearance on Letterman to sing this.

Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and Seasons Greetings Ken and to all who read and post here from the icy, frozen Great White North (That's Canada for those who don't get the SCTV Bob & Doug McKenzie reference).

Ken's blog has been one of my daily habits for many years and I'm planning on it being a reading habit for years to come.

I certainly hope Ken is too.

You can find her versions of the song on YouTube dating back to when the Letterman tradition began in 1986. Hard to believe "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" marks its golden anniversary this year -- and that Darlene has sung it annually on Dave's show for more than half that time.

@Doug Thompson: And a beer! Innnnn aaaa treeeee!

It's good to know that if I hadn't remembered at the last minute to check Letterman for Miss Darlene and put it in the DVR, I could still see it here, where so many others appreciate it. I can't explain it, but as soon as I hear her start to sing this song, I start to weep, because it's too beautiful and I wish I could sing even a fraction as well. Total and complete aesthetic arrest.

Oh, and I realized last night that I totally forgot about one of my favourite Christmas songs in the song thread; "Christmas Wrapping" by The Waitresses!

Cheers, thanks a lot,

Storm
